THE GUEST HOUSE
The lower level of this large upscale home with 10 ft ceilings was filled with light from sash windows on all 3 sides of the space. Consisting of 2,325 sq. ft., the space was a skeleton and had only been framed. What would be the best use of this space for the homeowners and what would afford them the best resale opportunities?
THE DESIGN PLAN
"The biggest lesson I learned as a successful Luxury Real Estate broker in South Africa, is to always consider resale when I am working on a project. My plan for this transformation, was to create a fully serviced space with private access that was independent of the main house and which offered numerous options in its usability and added immense resale value.
The end result is a multi functional open plan space with access to it's own private front and back garden, a full kitchen, a large bedroom and en-suite bathroom, a study and laundry.
